100 Questions, Part Four with MK and Gabriel

This is the fourth and final part of 100 Questions I came across at 4 Hats and Frugal. For this last set, I'm going to have a little help from the charming Gabriel Gallagher.

Don't miss reading part one with Brenna Gallagher, part two with Rhona Blackwood, and part three with Clara Stowe.

Gallagher's Hope by MK McClintock

78 and 79. Asked, answered, and skipped.

80. Hot tea or cold tea?

MK: Hot, always.

Gabriel: Coffee

MK: That’s not an option.

Gabriel: There’s always coffee in the kitchen.

MK: At Hawk’s Peak, but not here.

Gabriel: Still, coffee.

81. Tea or coffee?

MK: Tea

Gabriel: Didn’t we just talk about this?

MK: I didn’t make up the questions.

Gabriel: And yet, here we are.

MK: You’re a lot more charming with Isabelle.

82. Sugar cookies or snickerdoodles?

MK: Sugar cookies

Gabriel: I like cookies

MK: What kind?

Gabriel: Oatmeal

MK: That’s not one of the choices.

Gabriel: You were a lot more charming when writing my story.

MK: It’s past my bedtime.

83. Can you swim well?

MK: Yes, I love to swim.

Gabriel: Like a fish.

MK: I don’t recall you being a swimmer.

Gabriel: You’re not with me all the time.

MK: I would know if you were a swimmer.

Gabriel: Are you saying I’m not.

MK: Do you want to be? Gabriel: I like water.

MK: Okay, you swim like a fish.

84. Can you hold your breath without holding your nose?

MK: Yes.

Gabriel: Why would I hold my breath?

MK: It’s just a test.

Gabriel: There’s a reason why you like to spend so much time in our world. Yours is weird.

MK: And getting weirder.

Gabriel: You should visit Hawk’s Peak more often. It’s a good escape.

MK: When people aren’t trying to shoot you.

Gabriel: Good point.

MK: Or steal your cattle.

Gabriel: True.

MK: Or wolves aren’t—

Gabriel: Okay, so it’s not perfect. And . . . ?

MK: And I’d still rather be there. I’ll pack my bags and we can spend some quality time together soon.

85. Are you patient?

MK: Sometimes. I’m patient with animals and with people who deserve it.

Gabriel: I am with Isabelle and our children, and . . . no, that’s about it.

MK: You’re actually a really sweet man.

Gabriel: Thanks to you.

MK: Of course, there was that time when you almost—

Gabriel: We promised we weren’t going to discuss that again.

86. DJ or band at a wedding?

MK: Neither. Harpist or pianist.

Gabriel: Those weren’t options.

MK: You don’t even know what a DJ is. It could be the same as a pianist.

Gabriel: Is it?

MK: No, but you didn’t know that.

Gabriel: I do now.

MK: You know, Brenna helped me the first time and she was much more cooperative.

Gabriel: Brenna? My fiery sister-in-law was cooperative?

MK: . . . Well, more than you are.

Gabriel: You realize we’re going to talk about you when this is all over.

87. Ever won a contest?

MK: Yes.

Gabriel: No.

88. Have you ever had plastic surgery?

MK: No.

Gabriel: What?

MK: You haven’t.

Gabriel: I’ve had surgery. What’s plastic?

MK: When did you have surgery?

Gabriel: When I was shot.

MK: You were shot?!

Gabriel: A few times.

MK: No, you weren’t.

Gabriel: It’s kind of something a person remembers.

MK: Where was I?

Gabriel: You left us for another series. Speaking of, when are you coming back? We’re not done with you.

89. Which are better: black or green olives?

MK: Depends on what I’m eating them with.

Gabriel: Food?

MK: Yes.

Gabriel: Never had them.

MK: They don’t stock them at the general store.

90. Can you knit or crochet?

MK: Knit. So far I can only knit scarves, but I’m determined to knit sweaters.

Gabriel: No. Isabelle likes to knit.

MK: She’s good, too. She made that lovely baby blanket.

91. Best room for a fireplace?

MK: Living room and bedroom.

Gabriel: What she said.

92. Do you want to get married?

MK: Ethan is already taken.

Gabriel: I’m already married . . . wait, what? My brother?

MK: He’s a catch.

Gabriel: You can’t marry Ethan.

MK: I know. Brenna beat me to it.

Gabriel: You matched them.

MK: A girl can have regrets.

Gabriel: Ethan, not me?

MK: I adore you, but I met Ethan first. Besides, Isabelle could take me.

Gabriel: She is amazing.

MK: You're welcome.

Gabriel: You know Ethan isn’t real.

MK: Like you’re not real?

Gabriel: Uh, walked into that one. You still can’t have him.

MK: This is going to a weird place.

Gabriel: You brought it up.

MK: You know, Gabriel, this is a side of you I never imagined.

93. If married, how long have you been married?

MK: Ooh, Gabriel, tell them your story.

Gabriel: You already told them.

MK: Yes, but I like when your face turns a little red when you explain Isabelle to Ethan for the first time.

Gabriel: You’re right, this is going to a weird place.

94. Who was your high school crush?

MK: He played a lot of sports. Well, they both did. Yeah, there were two crushes. My high school had a lot of great guys.

Gabriel: High school?

MK: Just school.

Gabriel: I remember a pretty girl named Jane who sat in front of me. She always wore her hair in a long braid. That was back in Texas, before we headed for Montana.

MK: I didn’t know about Jane.

Gabriel: That’s because you haven’t written about her yet.

MK: Wasn’t planning on it.

Gabriel: You’ll change your mind.

95. Do you cry and throw a fit until you get your own way?

MK: Probably a few times when I was a kid.

Gabriel: No

MK: I can vouch for that.

96. Do you have kids?

MK: No

Gabriel: Yes

97. Do you want kids?

MK: Yes, adopt.

Gabriel: Already have kids.

98. What is your favorite color?

MK: I like different shades of green. Blue is a close second.

Gabriel: Blue

99. Do you miss anyone right now?

MK: Yes

Gabriel: Isabelle

MK: I’m sending you back to her after the next question.

Gabriel: Appreciate it. Who do you miss?

MK: Ethan, Brenna, Isabelle, Ramsey, Eliza, Elizabeth, Colton, Ben, Amanda, Ainslee, Catie, Brody—

Gabriel: I couldn’t help but notice you forgot a name.

MK: Whose?

Gabriel: You’re going to make me say it?

MK: I am.

Gabriel: I’m not going to say it.

MK: Prince

Gabriel: That’s a horse

MK: And I miss him.

Gabriel: And?

MK: Gabriel

Gabriel: Thank you

100. Who are you going to tag to do this video next?

MK: Not a video, but no one because it’s late and I’m half asleep and too tired to think of anyone right now.

Gabriel: You’re not very nice when you’re tired.

MK: No one is.

Gabriel: Isabelle is.

MK: Isabelle is always nice.

Gabriel: You know, you can’t marry Ethan, but Doc Brody is single.

MK: Okay, that came out of nowhere.

Gabriel: I was still thinking about.

MK: Doc Brody isn’t single.

Gabriel: Yes, he is.

MK: Well, he won’t be for long.

Gabriel: Let me guess: we’re going to adopt another adult?

MK: Hawk’s Peak is a great place for healing and finding family, and—

Gabriel: We’re running out of bedrooms.

MK: Good thing I know a really good architect who can build you more.

Gabriel: What’s this mystery's woman's name?

MK: I can’t tell you that. Brody gets to meet her first.

Gabriel: Why?

MK: Because that’s how it’s going to work.

Gabriel: When do I get to meet her?

MK: I can’t tell you that because then you won’t be surprised.

Gabriel: If I go back to my wife and tell her that you told me this, but didn’t tell me who she is, Isabelle is going to blame me.

MK: I’m going to bed.
