100 Questions, Part One with MK and Brenna

I saw these questions at 4 Hats and Frugal and thought they were fun, but rather than answer them all myself, I'm going to have a little help from Brenna Gallagher.

100 Questions, Part One with MK and Brenna

1. Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?

MK: Closed. Closets are only open when I need to get in them

Brenna: I prefer bureaus remain closed, but with little ones in the house, they are sometimes opened when we aren't looking.

2. Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotels?

MK: I have before, I'm sure, but not as a habit, no.

Brenna: Shampoo bottles in hotels?

MK: Ignore it.

3. Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?

MK: They start tucked in and end out.

Brenna: They're always out before I fall asleep. Ethan is not one for lots of covers and tends to kick them off.

4. Have you stolen a street sign before?

MK: No. I'm not even sure what one does with a stolen sign.

Brenna: Street sign?

MK: Road signs.

Brenna: Oh, well, no. What an odd thing to steal.

5. Do you like to use post-it notes?

MK: Oh yes, lots. I've recently started using more whiteboard-style versions to cut down on paper use.

Brenna: You have very odd names for things. What's a post-it?

MK: A really small piece of paper that sticks to things and gets thrown away when you're done with it.

Brenna: Interesting. No, I can't say that I have used one.

6. Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?

MK: Most are digital or built-in discounts, but once in a while I cut one out. If I cut it out, I use it.

Brenna: Coupon?

MK: Another piece of paper that you throw away after you get a product on sale.

Brenna: There is sometimes a discount on items at the general store, though a paper is not required.

7. Would you rather be attacked by a swarm of bees or a bear?

MK: A big bear

Brenna: Really? I will say neither.

MK: You're supposed to pick one.

Brenna: I would rather not.

MK: That's the point of the question—to choose.

Brenna: Then it's a foolish question.

MK: Moving on.

Brenna: Very well, then I choose the bear. I have encountered one before and it was really quite adorable. It ran off and did not bother me in the least. Ethan laughed.

MK: Sorry about that. The bear was my idea.

8. Do you have freckles?

MK: A few scattered, mostly on my arms.

Brenna: Ethan claims I have freckles on my back. I have to take him at his word.

9. Do you always smile for pictures?

MK: As far as I recall. I have a few from childhood when I was pouting from not getting my way, but otherwise.

Brenna: Do you mean photographs?

MK: Yes.

Brenna: I have only sat for a photograph a few times and it was quite pleasant. They did not encourage smiling. I'm told I was not a cooperative child. Ethan had a photographer who was visiting Briarwood come to the ranch last Christmas. It was lovely.

10. What is your biggest pet peeve?

MK: Too many.

Brenna: Well—

MK: Something that bothers or irritates you.

Brenna: Oh. I dislike when someone shows a lack of compassion toward others.

11. Do you ever count your steps when you walk?

MK: Only when I'm walking to count my steps.

Brenna: I do not remember ever doing so.

12. Do you ever dance even if there's no music playing?

MK: Always had music.

Brenna: I have once. Ethan and I danced under the stars one night when we were out walking along the stream.

MK: Sounds romantic.

Brenna: That is Ethan.

MK: Thanks to you. Well, me, too. He wasn't always romantic.

Brenna: They say it takes a special woman.

MK: I knew you two would be perfect together.

13. Do you chew your pens and pencils? Uh, writing utensils.

MK: No.

Brenna: Never.

14. What size is your bed?

MK: King

Brenna: Large, I would say.

MK: It's a king-size bed. Custom-made version.

Brenna: Are you sure?

MK: Well, the equivalent to our modern-day king beds.

Brenna: Ethan is a tall man.

MK: Yes he is.

Brenna: Then, thank you for that.

15. What is your song of the week?

MK: No specific song. I've been listening to a lot of Celtic and piano music lately. I have listened many times to "May the Road Rise" by Nathan Carter and The High Kings, so that can be my song of the week.

Brenna: I do not know what you mean, though I am quite fond of music when I have been lucky enough to hear it played. My mother played the pianoforte beautifully.

16. Is it OK for guys to wear pink?

MK: Sure, some shades are nice on a guy, but not a lot of guys can pull it off.

Brenna: I cannot say. I have never personally met a man who wore pink.

17. Do you still watch cartoons?

MK: Not presently. I favor the cartoons from my youth, and still have a lot of them (now on DVD), but haven't watched them in a long time.

Brenna: —

MK: No, you don't watch cartoons.

Brenna: Okay

21. What is your least favorite movie?

MK: There have been a lot I've started and not finished. I only finish the ones I like.

MK: Brenna has never seen a movie.

22. Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?

MK: Deep in a bear or wolf den.

Brenna: There is a special place on the ranch that Ethan told me about. It is known only to the family and it is where . . . well, that is the point of 'hidden.'

23. What do you drink with dinner?

MK: Milk or water

Brenna: Water on most nights. We will occasionally enjoy a glass of wine with our meal.

24. What do you dip a chicken nugget in?

MK: Sweet and sour sauce

Brenna: Chicken nuggets?

MK: Just chicken.

Brenna: Elizabeth and Amanda are wonderful cooks and make a delicious white sauce to serve with chicken. I'm not very good in the kitchen and could not tell you everything in the sauce.

25. What is your favorite food?

MK: Homemade pizza

Brenna: I have heard of this. My parents tried it on their travels. I might enjoy it.

MK: You would.

Brenna: Perhaps you could share a receipt with Amanda.

MK: I don't know if pizza would have been made in 1880s Montana Territory, but I'll look into that for you.

Brenna: Please, do. And I am fond of wild game and a delicious pudding.

Stay tuned for part two.

And that scene with the bear . . .
