In the Christmas Spirit

How darling is this? One might think that Montana is littered with log cabins, but surprisingly I saw more cabins in North Carolina. I could live with a castle in Scotland or a stone cottage on the coast of Ireland, but a cozy cabin in the woods is my idea of writing heaven. It's been a wet winter thus far, lots of rain. The snow comes and the rain washes it away—much to my chagrin. All I want during the holiday season is to curl up under one of my warm Highland blankets, sip hot cocoa, and read lots of books (or write them).
I'd like to recommend a sweet romance book this week—Heartsong Cottage by Emily March. I don't often read contemporary romance unless there's something more to it, but this was a nice, easy read for an evening. I haven't read this author's books before, but I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style. Check it out.
Writing Update: I'm halfway through my next Crooked Creek short story ("Clara of Crooked Creek") and a good number of chapters into the next Gallagher book—Journey to Hawk's Peak. So, what comes after that? Well, all I can tell you at this point is that there is another British Agent novel in the works . . .
Have a great weekend!
