Happy birthday to THE DRAGON'S STAIRCASE, published on this day in 2016.

This book was my first foray into contemporary publishing, and it was a rush. At the time, I needed to mix things up. My imagination wanders, and if I go too long without giving in, the ideas boil over and I can't focus on anything. Lucky for me, Alexa and Craig were the perfect distraction. This was also the first book I co-wrote with another author, and while different, it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the darker sides of the story as much as I enjoyed the playful camaraderie between the Kyndall siblings. From start to finish, this book kept me guessing, which ended up producing some great results. And Craig . . . yeah, I got a bit swoony over him.
