As an author, I believe that everyone has a story to tell because we are each special. To me, this means being the best of who we are and who we hope to be. It also means remaining authentic in a world that tries to push us into a mold, to tell us how to think, and tries to convince us that we need validation from the masses.
There is no greater risk, I believe, to creative thinking than removing our individuality from the process. It would be akin to a world with only AI-generated books. There would be no real voice and no true emotion built upon years of experience and imagination.
Being authentic and genuine is what sets us apart and makes our stories so valuable.
Just because something is easier, doesn't make it worth doing or following. We should be able to make decisions based on our own personal experiences, values, and principles, rather than solely relying on the perspectives of external influences. Our stories, both in life and on the page, will be better for it.
For me, being an author means embracing my unique voice and weaving it into the stories I tell, and it is in my writing that I share who I am with readers. By doing so, I hope to connect with readers on a deeper level and inspire them to share their own stories with the world.
Whatever your passion in life, I hope you find your most authentic way to make it happen and to brighten the lives of as many people as possible along the way.
