A Note from MK
Alaina Claiborne was my first story, a tale worked on in my teens and forgotten until many years later. As I began to spend more time with Alaina and Tristan, along with Tristan's fellow agents, Charles and Devon, I knew the first story would not be the last. The British Agents represent justice, duty, honor, love, and family, which is a lot to live up to for anyone. They are far from perfect, which is one of the many things I love about them.
You have not seen the last of these remarkable agents and the women they love.
It should be understood that I write fiction, not history. My stories are meant to entertain and offer the reader an escape into another time and place. While I remain to true to the era and customs, there are times when I exercise a certain artistic license in order to find a balance between what we believe, what was, and what we can relate to in our modern day. It is never my intention to offend the historical purists.
