Kind Words from Readers
"Another great installment of the Crooked Creek series. McClintock is a good writer who sweeps the reader along in a sweet story with interesting characters to a satisfactory ending." - Loves to Read
"Love M.K. McClintock's work. The characters come alive and transport to another time and place." - Susan Adams, Amazon Review
"I just love these shorts stories, set in the wilderness of Montana, they are very well written, and so refreshing with independent and brave women blended in western adventures set in post-Civil War Montana." - Nicole Laverdure
"Briley of Crooked Creek is a delightful short story; a quick read that makes one feel good. It tells the story of a young woman with a lot of courage and determination to make the best of a difficult situation. MK McClintock has a special talent for making it easy to fall into the story and visualize each scene. I am enjoying the Crooked Creek stories and look forward to the next installment." - Cherub's Library
A Note from MK
Briley didn't have the same chance as the other women of Crooked Creek to love their men before losing them. Her story begins once she arrives and realizes that it is okay to trust, hope, and believe that someone will always be there for her. Her tender love is filled with sweet promises and a realization that happy endings often start with new beginnings.
You'll have a chance to meet many characters from this unique Montana town, but for now, I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into Crooked Creek.
